In 1997, Microsoft asked Designs UK to provide artwork for their three UK Headquarter buildings in Reading. The brief was to compliment and enhance the existing design and colour scheme for each building. Shirley's recommendations were absolutely in keeping with our corporate design and image. In 2002, our fourth building was opened and once again Designs UK was given the art consultancy. On this occasion, the brief was to include a mountain theme for 23 Meeting Rooms, each to be named after a different mountain. An example of Shirley's commitment and enthusiasm is that she found the premier professional mountaineering photographer in the UK to provide the images and associated scripts. We have always been completely satisfied with Designs UK's attention to detail and understanding of our requirements.
