ANNELI BOON Anneli is a mixed media paper artist, whose work is profoundly influenced by her native Finland where her routes still remain, providing much of the inspiration behind her work. She creates impressions of nature; landscapes and changing seasons reduced to their basic elements. In the past few years she has specialised in paper collage abstract art. Her work is composed by the layering of observations, memories, thought, imagination and dreams, as well as the materials of paper, paint and glue. As a result of much experimentation with materials and techniques, she has developed a highly personal style of creating distinctive forms of composition, harmony and mood with asymmetrical balance of colour, shape and spatial relationship. She creates exciting, personal images, but also encourages the viewer to visualise their own interpretation.
